The meeting of the foreign ministers of Iran and Cyprus

Seyed Abbas Irakchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, spoke with the Foreign Minister of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos, on Thursday evening, following the consultations with the foreign ministers of the countries participating in the 80th Ambush Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In this meeting, bilateral relations and international developments were discussed and exchanged.

Our country's foreign minister, in explaining Iran's positions regarding developments in the region following the violation of the American treaty and the escalation of its aggressive and unsafe actions in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, emphasized the need to take a responsible approach on the part of all countries and to avoid any contact with the aggressor and law-breaking parties.

The Foreign Minister of Cyprus also emphasized the country's adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.

The foreign ministers of Iran and Cyprus also exchanged views on several issues of mutual concern regarding bilateral relations and regional issues.
