Reuters: Brent crude fell $1.9 cents, or 1.1%, to $98.16 per barrel, and West Texas Intermediate crude oil traded at $89.1 cents, down $1.50, or 1.6%.

Spot gold was down 0.2 percent at $4,345 and 55 cents an ounce by 04:35 GMT, while U.S. gold futures for December delivery were up 0.2 percent at $4,383 and 10 cents.
