The Director General of Environmental Protection of the Tehran District stated: Tehran deals with about 20 million trips every day and according to the announced statistics, about 62% of the vehicles traveling in the capital are single-passenger vehicles. Serious attention should be given to the issue that shows the management of travel demand and changing the pattern of private vehicle use, alongside the development and modernization of public transportation.
