🔸 Cuba's warning at the UN: America wants to revive the old Monroe Doctrine

🔹 Cuba's foreign minister, Bruno Rodriguez, at the "Slack" (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) ministerial meeting, held on the sidelines of the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations, sharply criticized Washington's policy, and warned against America's efforts to re-impose the "age-old Monroe Doctrine" and return to Monroe's area of control.

The Monroe Doctrine was declared as the policy of the United States in 1823 based on the idea of "America for the Americans" by James Monroe, according to which any ground attack or European intervention on American soil was considered aggression and a reason to repel the aggression of the American forces.
