Manhattan under intense security siege; Hundreds of policemen and reporters are waiting for the world leaders

New York City has been in a special security situation since today, at the same time as the leaders and senior officials of various countries arrive for the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations; Parts of Manhattan were closed to people and normal daily traffic, barriers and security fences were erected around the United Nations headquarters, and the large presence of police forces significantly changed the face of this part of the city.
