Behind the scenes of Trump's divorce to third countries

Tens of thousands of people have been deported by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to countries they have no ties to. Behind this story is a global system of multi-million dollar transactions.

The Austrian newspaper Standard wrote on Monday: Since January 2025, more than 25,000 people have been deported from the United States to third countries. Of these, 20,000 people were deported to Mexico even though they are not from this country.
