The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the opposing positions of France regarding the illegal activity of the institution associated with the embassy of this country in Iran

🔹 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly rejects the baseless and incorrect claims regarding the educational institution associated with the embassy of this country in Tehran - contained in the statement dated September 29, 1405 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France.

The action of the law officers to stop the illegal activity of an institution affiliated with the French Embassy in Tehran, following the French Embassy's continuous and long-term disregard of the repeated warnings of the competent Iranian authorities in recent years regarding the need for legal registration and obtaining a license to operate this center, and was based on a court order.

The provisions of the "1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations" are clear regarding the benefits and immunity of embassies, and the French embassy must obtain the necessary legal permits for the establishment and operation of centers and institutions with cultural and educational functions, in accordance with the laws and regulations of the receiving country. The insistence of the French Embassy in Tehran to ignore the provisions of the treaty for diplomatic relations and expect to be exempted from the laws and regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran is in no way acceptable.

🔹 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Salmi emphasizes once again the necessity of the French Embassy to avoid any illegal and unethical diplomatic action and the necessity to respect the provisions of the Vienna Convention and obey the relevant local laws and regulations.
