Cooperation between Iran and Denmark regarding the impact of climate change on the Horkanin trees

🔹 Seyed Ehsan Sadati, Vice President for Natural Resources of the Mazandaran Agricultural Research, Education and Promotion Organization, announced on Monday the implementation of a joint program to assess the response of broad-leaved horkanin trees under climate change conditions with Denmark and said: This program aims to investigate the effects of drought and heat stress caused by these climate changes and how to preserve these climate changes. Horkanin trees are broad-leaved mixed forests at the southern end of the Caspian Sea, compatible with the humid Mediterranean climate. Beech, oak, alder, elm and boxwood are the most famous Horkanian species in northern Iran.
