Survival: Any future reliable mechanism for shipping in Hormuz will be based on an understanding between Iran and Oman

The cancellation of the Salah meeting does not negate the achievements of Iran and Oman to determine the safe shipping route

Referring to the fate of the technical understandings between Tehran and Muscat, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said:

🔹 It was supposed that the results of several weeks of negotiations between the two coastal countries regarding the determination of the coordinates of Yemen's commercial shipping route would be shared with other countries in the region at the Salalah meeting. Although this opportunity was somehow lost, it does not negate the efforts and achievements of Iran and Oman in any way.

🔹 This understanding was made around the determination of the safe route and any valid mechanisms and arrangements in the future will depend on the same steps that Iran and Oman have taken as coastal governments.
