🔹Thousands of known and unknown poets, each of them is a part of this great tapestry. The world may have seen only a fraction of this role so far. Our task is to show the whole carpet. The story of the globalization of Persian poetry is not over. This is our responsibility today.

The famous sentences were attributed to Marco Polo, the famous Venetian traveler who visited Bizad, Kerman, Jiroft and Hormuz, as well as Tabriz, the cosmopolitan city of the time. He considers the Iranians as people who "speak the language of poetry and walk on fine carpets." One should be careful in attributing this expression to him, but regardless of who its first speakers were, the image hidden in this sentence is truly Iranian: poetry in the tongue and a carpet under the feet; the rim in the sky and the pattern on the ground; Word and color, both symbols of meaning and beauty.
