A lesson from the war in Ukraine; Europe in search of cheaper weapons

🔹 Reuters: The war in Ukraine and the Middle East, which exposed the limitations of Europe's stock of advanced and expensive weapons, was an experience to prepare for modern conflicts towards cheaper weapons on a mass scale.

According to some analysts, the European defense sector has for years focused on small-scale production of advanced weapons instead of war-scale production, but now governments are looking for cheaper, large-scale systems that could enter the market alongside advanced weapons from companies such as Lockheed Martin, MBDA and Rheinmetall.
