๐ธ The central bank's emphasis on the need to comply with section 44 of the Central Bank Law when issuing securities in foreign currency / currently there are no plans for securities in foreign currency
After the publication of the news that the Commodity Exchange of Iran has begun steps to design and issue "bonds in foreign currency", the Central Bank reminds that according to Section "H" of Section 44 of the Central Bank Law, approval of guidelines for the issuance of currency-based financial instruments and currency derivatives is the sole authority of the Central Bank's Supreme Board of Directors.
On this basis, any action in the field of design and publication of such tools should be done within the framework of the approvals of the Supreme Board of the Central Bank and in accordance with the established legal arrangements. Also, the central bank currently has no plans to develop and issue foreign currency securities such as foreign currency bonds in the capital market.
