Following the fire in the engine room of the oil tanker "Algaia" with the flag of Panama, which occurred following a ground attack, the Maritime Security Center of Oman announced the start of the towing operation of this vessel to one of the country's ports.

Following this incident, one of the ships of the Oman Navy carried out a rescue operation and evacuated 23 people from this oil tanker. After being transferred to the ground, these people received the necessary medical care in coordination with health and treatment centers.

According to a statement from this center, the search operation continues at the scene of the accident to locate the 2 ship's crew members who are still missing.
