Sanctions do not only affect banks, trade, and energy; the university, the laboratory, and the researcher also pay part of the cost of the sanctions environment. The difficulty in transferring financial resources, supplying equipment and specialized parts, access to some software and scientific services, restrictions on the transfer of researchers, and the caution of foreign institutions in cooperating with the Iranian side have increased the cost of production and the exchange of knowledge.
