Unprecedented heat, drought and forest fires in Europe have caused hundreds of billions of euros in damage to the continent's economy, and with the reduction of electricity production, disruption of transportation, damage to agriculture and the increase in food prices, it has put additional pressure on European economies and the policies of the European Central Bank.
