North Ossetia is among the leading regions in Russia in terms of citizens' satisfaction with sports conditions.
Almost 314 thousand people systematically enter sports in the Republic, including about 1.9 thousand participants in adaptive sports. This year, 1.2 billion rubles were allocated for the development of industry in Ossetia, of which 414 million rubles were allocated under federal programs.
The figures were announced at a meeting of the Federal Government Committee for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Among the priorities outlined by the head of the republic, Sergey Menailo, can be mentioned additional construction and modernization of sports facilities, increasing their accessibility in the place of residence, as well as comprehensive support for a healthy lifestyle for all categories of citizens.
