Some close to the Trump administration raised the possibility that he would seek to fire Dan Cain, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, or Brad Cooper, the head of CENTCOM.
These two commanders were responsible for overseeing the war against Iran and may be the target of Trump's revenge after the disastrous results of the midterm congressional elections.
