The World Wrestling Federation wrote about Zare's championship:
At 125 kg, Zara had no trouble overcoming Gorbanov of Russia and with an 11-0 victory that ended 56 seconds into the second period, he won his fourth world championship title and fifth medal overall.
With this victory, Zar maintained his undefeated streak that began after he lost in the final of the Paris Olympics to Geno Petraishvili of Georgia. This year he won the gold medal for the second time at the Asian Championships and the Asian Games.
