Iraqi: The American side must meet Islamabad's commitments, any negotiations will take place after the ban.
The Foreign Minister in an interview with Al-Ahbariya Iraq:
What we want from the American side is to meet all the commitments contained in the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding that was signed earlier.
Once they meet these obligations, we can enter into negotiations on other cases.
In the final stage of the negotiation, any issue or issues raised by both parties can be discussed and a final agreement reached.
Our negotiations with the American side through intermediary countries, including Pakistan and Qatar, continue continuously. Earlier, we presented an initiative called the Seven Day Program to the American side, in which we clearly stated our conditions.
The Strait of Hormuz was to be fully opened on the sixth day of this period. The Americans have informed us that they agree to these terms, but they want to add a few more clauses to it.
๐น These conditions are related to the issues discussed in previous negotiations.
