🎦 The oldest indoor market in Paris burned down

The oldest covered food market in Paris, which was more than 400 years old, was completely destroyed in a fire this morning.

The covered market "Marche Couvret Deschamps Rouges" in the Le Marais district of Paris has been operating since 1615 and its name was taken from the red clothes worn by orphans in a nearby hospital until 1772.

🔹 Ariel Ville, mayor of the central Paris region, told reporters that the fire was contained and that it was prevented from spreading to nearby buildings.
