US Democratic Senator Chris Murphy said the US War Department (Pentagon) prevented his access to an important US military base in Qatar during his trip to West Asia and described it as part of the Trump administration's attempt to hide the impact of the war in Iran.

🔹 Al-Adid is the largest American base in the region and has been subjected to ground attack many times by Iran in the war that the United States and Israeli prisoners began in February.

Murphy said: This trip confirmed for me that there is an active, unprecedented and illegal effort to hide the costs of this war and its consequences from Congress and the American people.

He also said the Pentagon refused to hold a briefing for him on the war while he was in the area.
