Hours after the explosion in the gas pipeline in the Al-Shula area near Deir E-Zor, the massive fire continues and the rescue teams' efforts to contain it have so far failed.

The Syrian Oil Company announced that the fire in the east of the country occurred due to the explosion of a shut-off valve and was caused by vandalism.
