The Economist's warning regarding a ban on the export of diesel fuel from the USA

The Economist magazine wrote in articles:

Banning diesel exports is "meaningless" and economically wrong, even though it seems politically attractive.

🔹 America is the largest diesel exporter in the world, the export ban may cause fuel to accumulate inside, reduce the production of refineries (because they have nowhere to store) and as a result increase the prices of gasoline and jet fuel.

It also disrupts global markets (mainly Europe and Latin America) and may raise the global price of diesel, the American oil and gas industry is also strongly opposed to this idea.
