Referring to the estimates of an active group in the field of transportation and the environment based in Brussels, Euronews wrote that since the beginning of the war in Iran, the increase in the price of fuel for road transportation has imposed an additional cost of approximately 53 billion euros on the European Union.

According to this report, the bulk of this additional cost, equal to 40 billion euros, is related to diesel fuel, and the increase in fuel prices in the road transport sector adds an average of 270 million euros per day to transportation costs, of which 203 million euros are related to diesel fuel and 67 million euros to gasoline.
