Examining the American war with Iran, Faran Afraz writes:

Washington is facing a conflict of attrition in a situation where the military superiority of the United States has failed to achieve the desired political goals of this country and the continuation of the war has put pressure on the military power, economic resources and political will of the United States.

Iran's relatively cheap drones and missiles have forced America and Israel to use defense systems and expensive equipment to counter them. In this strategy, Iran is not necessarily looking for a quick victory.
