The European Union has banned the use of social networks by children under the age of 13

With the unveiling of the Children's Act, the European Union banned the use of social networks for people under the age of 13. According to this tiered scheme, the access of teenagers aged 13 to 15 is also subject to parental supervision and a daily time limit (maximum one hour).

The platforms are also required to remove addictive features such as infinite scrolling, and in case of violation, they will face heavy fines of up to 6% of the annual turnover.

🔹 Following the increasing evidence of the psychological harm of the online space on children, Brussels promotes the Children's Law by developing new regulations.

The head of the European Commission, who emphasized that platforms must prove their authenticity, announced that Europe will not allow the technology giants to dictate their rules.

🔹 These restrictions, which will be applied in the event of final approval, in addition to the age groups under 15, also require Yemeni design standards for youth between the ages of 15 and 18.
