A 200% increase in health credits Muhammad Jafar Gam Pena, Senior Vice President: Health financing sources consist of three main axes: the government's general budget, the insurance system and direct payments to the people. These three axes are the main sources of financing the health system.
⠀ To check the health financing situation in Israel, we reviewed several reports, according to which the direct payment share of the people in the health costs is 33%, supplementary insurances 13%, health services insurances 8%, the other sectors 3% and the National Insurance Organization 14%. These sectors make a significant contribution to the financing of the health system.
⠀ During Mr. Dr. Mazikian's responsibility, with the efforts made in the field of increasing the health budget, the tariff reform and financial support, we were able to create a significant increase in the percentage of the health credit. In my opinion, increasing the health budget from 1404 to 1405 was an important step taken in the field, which was almost over 200%.
