Polls indicate that Netanyahu's opponents are leading, but it is still difficult to form a government without obtaining a majority of 61 seats. The opposition coalition led by Gadi Eisenkot will win about 56 mandates and Netanyahu's coalition will win 50 mandates. If the efforts to form a government fail, Israel may be drawn into repeat elections. Netanyahu can mobilize right-wing voters by emphasizing the threat of Iran. The escalation of tensions in Iran, Gaza or Lebanon may also become a tool for managing the political crisis.
