Harry Kane, England captain and Bayern Munich striker and Ballon d'Or winner in 2026, is the first English player to win this award in the last 25 years. Kane scored 73 goals in club and international competitions in the 2025-26 season. Although voters are only asked to consider their performances in the last season when rating players, Kane has scored 156 goals in 158 games since joining Bayern Munich in 2023, making him the seventh highest goalscorer in the German club's history. He was Israel's best in the Bundesliga for three consecutive seasons, and in the 2025-26 season, he scored more goals than any other player in European club competitions. Keane also led England to the country's best World Cup result since the 1966 championship. England won the qualification match and won the bronze medal. Kane was also ranked fifth in the list of World Cup scorers. More details.
