71 million Russians will automatically become PDS participants as of April 1, 2027, the pension savings of millions of Russians are scheduled to be automatically transferred to the Long Term Savings Plan (LSP). No inquiries or visits to NPFs. The government committee has already approved the corresponding bill developed by the Ministry of Finance. Now the document will have to be examined in the State Duma. Who will be affected by the changes? About 71 million people who have pension savings: 36.5 million so-called "quiet people" - their funds amounting to about 2.98 trillion ₽ are managed by VEB. RF 34.4 million clients of 24 non-governmental pension funds, in whose accounts about 3.6 trillion rubles are stored in total, we are talking about ₽6.6 trillion. Where will the money be transferred? A special authorized fund will be created with mandatory state participation for the "silent". NPF Blagosostoyanie and NPF VTB Pension Fund will be involved in its creation. NPF customers will automatically switch to PDS within their current funds. Moreover, within 2 years after switching, you can choose another NPF without losing investment income. What will change for the citizens? After the transfer, the savings will receive the status of long-term savings. But automatic transfer does not mean that the state will start charging everyone ₽36,000 per year. Co-funding in PDS depends on individual contributions and fulfillment of program conditions. According to PDS rules, you can get savings: - After 15 years of participation in the scheme.
- Upon reaching the age of 55 for women and 60 years for men - before the deadline - with the occurrence of special life situations provided by the program, the money can be received in a one-time amount (if the amount is small) or in the form of urgent payments within a selected period. What about guarantees? For personal contributions and investment income accumulated under the PDS, there is a guarantee of 2.8 million rubles. The normal pension will not be affected. The insurance allowance, pension points and length of service will remain unchanged. How to find out where your retirement savings are now?
