The Russian economy again entered the overheating zone in the third quarter, so it is necessary to maintain the moderating effect of monetary policy on domestic demand, according to the summary of the key rate discussion of the Central Bank of Russia.
"As a result of the discussion, the participants came to the conclusion that in the third quarter of 2026, the economy again moved to a positive GDP gap. Domestic demand continued to grow, while in some industries supply opportunities were temporarily limited. The appearance of the imbalance between demand and supply was evidenced by the increase in the ongoing inflationary pressure. This is also what the model estimates indicated," the summary reads.
