A former deputy of the Murmansk Regional Duma is accused of treason.
The former deputy chairman of the Murmansk Regional Duma, Gennady Stepakhno, has become a defendant in a criminal case of treason, the press service of the regional directorate of Russia's FSB reported. "The said person, being an opponent of the special military operation in Ukraine, carried out the task he received from the Ukrainian side, which included collecting, using his official position and transferring to the employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine the documentary materials entrusted to him in connection with the exercise of the powers of a deputy in relation to the activity of the area and the government engine facilities located in the area and the government engine facilities," says Murmansk.
