The Ministry of Finance has changed its mind about introducing a new customs duty for e-commerce along with 22% VAT.
In a second reading, the Ministry of Finance plans to remove from the amendments to the tax law the norm on the introduction of customs duties on cross-border e-commerce goods in the amount of 100 rubles per package from 2027, Deputy Minister of Finance Alexey Szanov told the State Duma. "Regarding the customs issue, 100 rubles per package, indeed this issue is currently under development.
