The Sun emitted a large prominence on Thursday, the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Space Research Institute (IKI) and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics (ISTP) of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported. "The emission of a very large bulge of about half a million kilometers in size affected the cameras of several space telescopes today," a statement from the laboratory said.
