Construction of the first nuclear power plant will begin in Kazakhstan in 2027.
Kazakhstan should start building the country's first nuclear power plant, Balkhash, in 2027, President Kassem-Jomart Tokayev said. "I believe that it is possible and perhaps necessary to start building the nuclear power plant in Hash as early as next year and to sign an agreement on comprehensive cooperation with the aim of quickly starting the construction of the nuclear power plant from Vincom," he said in a message to the people of Kazakhstan.
