The Russian Foreign Ministry noted London's lack of interest in normalizing relations with Moscow.

Moscow sees no reason to expect improved relations with Great Britain under Andy Burnham's government; London is not interested in that, said Alexander Gusrov, director of the North Atlantic Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry. "As for our relations with Great Britain, unfortunately, we have no reason to believe that with the establishment of the new London government there will be at least positive progress for the better," Gusrov said in an interview with International Affairs magazine.
