Democratic senators allow investigation into Trump's diesel deal with Moscow.
Democratic senators from the Foreign Relations Committee of the US Congress are allowing a future investigation into US President Donald Trump's deal with Moscow to supply Russian diesel fuel and intend to ask the private US companies involved in it to preserve relevant documents, Politico reporter Mark Sutter reports. "Democrats from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will instruct private American companies involved in the diesel deal between Trump and Moscow to preserve documents for potential future investigations," Sater wrote on the social network X, citing an aide to an unnamed Democratic senator.
