The service of saving a mobile phone number (MNP, Mobile Number Portability) when moving to another region, launched on September 1, has been used by more than 100 thousand people, said Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Ugnivenko. "An important change for many citizens in the country: starting September 1, 2026, subscribers keep their mobile number when moving to another region - both while staying with the current operator and switching to a new phone.
