Zakharova stated that the Netherlands cannot guarantee fair competitions

Russia calls on international sports federations to take into account that the Netherlands is unable to ensure the fair conduct of competitions, said the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova. "We call on the international sports federations, when choosing the host country for certain tournaments, to take into account that the Netherlands is not able to guarantee fair and impartial competitions," she said, referring to the non-issuance of visas to Russian gymnasts for the world championships, which take place in Rotterdam between October 17 and 25.
