Novovoronezh NPP shut down power unit No. 5 for 12 days for repairs

NPP Novovoronezh (a subsidiary of Rosenergoatom Concern JSC) has disconnected the fifth power unit from the grid for short-term repairs, the communications department of the nuclear plant reported. "On October 17, 2026 at 02:48 (Moscow time), power unit No. 5 of NPP Novovoronezh, in accordance with the request submitted and agreed with the unified launch management of the center's electrical systems, was disconnected from the grid for repair work on heat exchange equipment," the statement said.
