Iranian lawmakers on Sunday confirmed Mehrad Akhlaghi as the country's defense minister, Iranian state television reported. "The members of the Islamic Advisory Council today expressed confidence in Mehredad Ahlagi, the candidate for the position of Minister of Defense and Logistics of the Armed Forces," the report states.
