The first experiments at the SKIF synchrotron near Novosibirsk are planned for November-December

The collective use center "Siberian Ring Photon Source" (SKIF) will start the first experiments before the end of this year, RAS academician Valery Bukhtiarov, director of the Catalysis Institute of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SKIF's developer and client), told reporters on Sunday. "I really hope that a rotating beam will appear, if not within a month, say, November, then before the new year, and accordingly we can conduct experiments," he said.
