In September, Russian military personnel intercepted and destroyed more than 15,000 aerial targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the country's regions, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov said on Friday. "In September alone, more than 15,000 air targets were shot down, which is 500 per day," Gerasimov reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin at the auxiliary control point of the joint forces group. "If in January of our year on average, the air defense forces intercepted about 120 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles over Russian areas per day, but by September this figure had increased more than five times," said the head of the Russian General Staff.
