The surplus in the current account of the balance of payments of the Russian Federation in January-August increased 1.7 times. The positive balance in the current account of the balance of payments of the Russian Federation in January-August 2026 amounted to 35.0 billion dollars, which is 1.7 times compared to the corresponding period in 2025, when it was 21.0 billion dollars, according to the assessment of the balance of payments published on the website of the Bank of Russia.
