A former judge from the Russian Federation at the ECHR, member of the High Judicial Council (HQJC), Anatoly Kobler, believes that in order to ensure the safety of jurors during the trial, they can be given the status of professional judges. "It seems to me that considering the experience of Germany and some other countries where jurors are given the same status as judges, it would be nice to discuss this issue.
