The Kremlin, against the backdrop of the truce proposal, announced its desire to achieve long-term peace

The Kremlin, referring to the proposal of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky for a 60-day pause for the holding of presidential elections in this country, said that Moscow does not want a temporary ceasefire, but a long-term peace, and is ready to do everything for it. "The Kremlin has repeatedly said, both to President Putin and at other levels: we don't want a truce, we want long-term peace and are ready to do everything possible for that," Russian President Dmitry Peskov's press secretary told reporters, referring to Zelensky's parallel initiative.
