Japan has criticized Russia's request to extradite the head of the International Criminal Court

Tokyo has criticized the Russian Prosecutor General's Office's request to the Netherlands to extradite International Criminal Court (ICC) judges and prosecutors, especially the court's president, Japan's Tomoko Akane, the Associated Press reported on Friday. "These measures targeting people associated with the ICC are unfair and unacceptable," Deputy Cabinet Minister Masano Ozaki told a news conference.
