Pakistan increases military presence in Saudi Arabia because of the Houthis
Pakistani authorities have sent hundreds of troops to Saudi Arabia in response to the recent escalation of the conflict with the Houthis in Yemen, Pakistani security sources told EFE. "Pakistan has maintained a military presence in Saudi Arabia for decades for training and logistics purposes, but now hundreds of additional troops have been sent there as part of the Mecca Defense Agreement," a Pakistani security official said on condition of anonymity.
