Japanese breweries are suspected of price fixing
Japan's Fair Trade Commission has investigated four of the country's largest beer companies on suspicion of violating antitrust laws, the Wall Street Journal writes, citing reports from the companies themselves. Asahi Group Holdings, Kirin Holdings, Suntory Holdings and Sapporo Breweries said in separate press releases that they are cooperating fully with the regulator in the investigation.
