The Supreme Commander of the Ground Forces announced plans to develop new generation tanks in the Russian Federation

The Russian ground forces will be reinforced with new-generation tanks, said the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Ground Forces, Andrei Mordevich. "With the development of armed weapons, forms and methods of conducting combat operations, the need arose to improve the organizational structure of tank formations and increase their combat capabilities," said Mordvichev in an interview with the Russian Ministry of Defense newspaper "The Red Star". "All this will be done through the development of families of new generation tanks that provide reliable function in different geographical and climatic conditions," said Mordvichev.
